Primary qualifications: BSc (Hon) MedSci, MBChB (Aberdeen 2000), MRCS, MRCGP.

Dr MacLeod grew up on the Isle of Lewis and undertook his medical training at Aberdeen University. He worked in a variety of jobs in Aberdeen and then the Glasgow area before moving to Edinburgh.

Dr Macleod was one of the last generation of doctors who had the opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of specialities before commencing their formal GP training programme.

He joined Prestonpans Group Practice in 2008. His areas of medical interest include musculo-skeletal medicine and men’s health. Outside work he enjoys spending time with his family and occasionally plays a round of golf.
